Education committee

Responsibilities:

According to the Decision for election of the Education committee, brought by the Executive board of MAA:

1. The Committee evaluates received applications for regular and associate membership in the Macedonian Actuarial Association (hereinafter: Association);
2. The Committee recommends to the Assembly acceptance / rejection of applying candidates for regular / associate membership in the Association, and respectively determines additional exams and activities which should be carried out by the applying candidates in order to acquire the status of a regular / associate member of the Association;
3. The Committee carries out the activities of point 2);
4. The Committee follows and evaluates the compliance of the Educational program for actuaries of the Association with the Rulebook on the manner of performing of education for obtaining a license for work as a certified actuary and Syllabus issued by the Agency for Insurance Supervision (ISA) as the solely competent authority for performing of education for obtaining a license for work as a certified actuary;
5. The Commission follows and evaluates the compliance of the Education program for actuaries of the Association with the guidelines issued by the International Actuarial Association (IAA). For that purpose, the Committee prepares a Table of correspondence;
6. The Committee in case of non-compliance of the Education program for actuaries of the Association with the guidelines issued by the IAA proposes the amendment of the Education program for actuaries of the Association;
7. The Committee proposes appropriate measures to be taken by the Association in case of non-compliance of the Education program for actuaries of the Association with the Rulebook on the manner of performing of education for obtaining a license for work as a certified actuary and the Syllabus issued by ISA.
